I was totally in a book hangover from finishing two series that ended in cliff hangers and the next books are out for another couple months!! So I've been trying to find something to keep me busy til then. Very very bad idea in a good way. I promise.I found this book and it hooked me in after reading the first chapter.
Killian is hot!!! And he's so sweet and innocent and naive cause he's from a different world. I love how protective and possessive he is of Reagan.
Reagan - this girl cracks me up. I'm glad she reacts the way a normal girl would to all the bizarre things happening. Some of her reactions and thoughts crack me up because I can totally relate. I can see myself thinking the same thing. Lol.
The attraction between Reagan and Killian is so sizzling hot. I try not to read a lot of YA books because they don't really go into anything beyond PG-13. I'm a grown woman and I need some love scenes. Lol. Now I'm not asking for Fifty Shades of Grey but just something tasteful. The author is able to do just that. Enough to help the imagination but not overly done. I can't stand reading anything too graphic or redundant. I don't need it on every other page.
Anyways I loved the book!! I can't wait to see what happens next. Spoiler!! It does end on a cliff hanger which does not help my book hangover one bit. Now it's one more book to add on to watch for. There isn't even a release date yet!!!

I loved how this book kept pulling me in for more. Every time I tried to put it down all I could think about was what was going to happen next. If you're into fantasy with a twist then this is the book to read. I can't wait for the next book to come out!
I really enjoyed reading about Killian and Reagan in Killian. The way the book was written was easy to follow and the world felt real. Having POVs from both characters added so much emotion and insight that would not have made the book what it was if it had only been from one POV. I would recommend this to fans of fantasy and fairy books and I cannot wait for the rest of the series!
The idea of the story is good but reading it was painful. Missing or incorrect words, awkward character transitions and writing style. I wish it was better, but left frustrated when reading it.
A wonderful story. I love fairy books but this romance had it all. Destined couple torn apart by time, mystery, fate-- sexy hero, fun heroine with choices to make. I loved the ending and Killian's devotion to Regan, as well as the well developed friendships and relationships and complex plot lines built in both the human and fairy world. Ready for book two!
The ending of this book made it worth it. The beginning was somewhat painful when the author introduce dialogue between Killian, his parents and sister. The language was formal, stiff and relatively uncomfortable for someone used to reading books with a bit more depth than what was initially offered in the beginning of this book. However, once past this point the book seemed to develop, as did the characters and plot. Overall I enjoyed the book, and after the ending, look forward to the next one in the series.
So I read the reviews sounded good so I thought why not.... when Killian is in his homeland it's very confusing and there's no flow to it. Just a lot of starts and stops no explanation of what is going on. It leaves you feeling like his whole race are flakes and the whole sequence seems like an afterthought not the set up. Through the book it's he has a dual personality. One minute he's so sappy you want to through the book in the trash the next he's totally dissing his "true mate" with other girls. He loves her so much buts it's fine to make out with every girl that comes along. Reagan becomes an a fool with none of backbone. Seemed like the author tried to cover too much without enough thought into how the book was going to end.
I waffled between 3 and 4 stars for this rating/review. The writing is cleaner and contains less errors than the author's Blackrock series, and this book has a faster pace. The story is strong enough to gain a reader's attention, leave one ready for the next book, and makes it somewhat easier to overlook the flaws (editing issues). There are a few strange quirks to the characters and I'm not sure if the next book or the rest of the series will explain them or not. It is a bit odd that Killian seems obtuse about his interaction with other women--Tatiana especially late in the book--and in some ways Reagan appears a little too forgiving. The Earth settings and scenes are mostly logical and well explained, but the story becomes murky when they go to Avalon and it leaves a lot of questions unanswered. Many readers will be looking for answers in book two. This story does close with a cliffhanger and those who enjoy the story will want to read book two immediately. My biggest disappointment is that although the author has improved on her published presentation, she still has a ways to go and would benefit greatly from a good editor. But, I understand most independent authors either believe they don't need professional editing or choose to forego it due to cost. The end result is often a poorer quality publication.
